This will come across as news as well as politics, but it shouldn't. It will come across as left-wing rhetoric, but it shouldn't. It might even come across as some nutbag idealist without a firm grip on reality, but it shouldn't. It's so simple that most people can't fathom it. What is it? We are ALL one. We all come from the same higher power, Source, God, Allah, or whatever you choose to call the unnameable, the untouchable, the unseeable, etc.

Why are people so divided? Because the majority of people are disillusioned. Most of us are like sheep being led to the slaughter and don't even realize it.

Is there hope?

The beautiful thing is, it doesn't really matter. At least to those on the spiritual journey to enlightenment. No matter what humans do or don't do, the sun will keep in shining, the earth will keep turning, the universe will still be there in all its splendor.

The beauty of enlightenment is in its simplicity and that it is available to everybody. When you choose the spiritual path, you no longer take things personally. Jesus said, "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." I realize that at first, it seems easier said than done, but that is just our ego talking. When we begin to understand the power of the ego, the ego begins to lose its power over us.

I also realize that people still caught in the grip of their individual ego will disagree with everything that I've written. And that is beautiful and isn't worth arguing over. As a matter of fact nothing is worth arguing over. Everything is what it is, or is it? I'm beginning to accept everything as it is, without judging it. I'm smiling as I write this, because the spiritual high I'm on is better than any man-made drug available. It's absolutely wonderful.

The sooner all the people on this planet realize that we are all one, all connected to the same source, the need to compete will disappear. When the need to compete disappears, we will have all become enlightened.
