A Hit Of Heaven
A Soul's Journey Through Illusion
Andrea Avari, PhD
A Hit Of Heaven is about a spirit that returns again and again to our world - the Earthly classroom - from Heaven in order to learn all that life has to teach. Anisea, the heroine, follows a succession of life's and deaths, seeing each new life as an opportunity to learn from the challenges she had already set herself while 'dead' in Heaven. In other words, life on Earth follows a pattern that you, the agent, have already determined. This powerful message will appeal to many who wish to marry the secular with the spiritual and find a deeper meaning in the suffering and joys of everyday life. Each moment is an opportunity to learn something of value to your soul until the final truth - that all is love - is revealed. Essentially Andrea Avari is arguing the case that life is a series of choices: that we can choose how to interpret our present circumstances and give meaning to them, in a similar manner that Viktor Frankl would. Of course, it is when life is most challenging that we look for aid external to ourselves. This can be in the form of destructive addictions (which Anisea experiences) or it may mean reaching out to a higher power for guidance and embracing universal love. Not surprisingly, Andrea sides with the latter but while doing so suggests that it is in periods of strife that this divine love can be found and experienced by choosing to learn the lesson life is teaching. There is certainly a lot of ideas to stimulate thought and discussion found throughout the book and those that follow the Law of Attraction will find its discussion of vibration especially interesting. For myself, I found the ideas based on the ego and the soul most appealing and most useful to my own journey.
